Crazy Spring Lawn Care Day Before Rains

Doc and crew scalp Barb’s lawn, spike aerate Doc’s full lawn, apply grub killer, and cut the annual rye grass low.  All of this is done in a rush to beat the incoming three days of rain. With 3 days of spring rains due to move in, Doc rushes to get the lawn in shape to handle them.  Opening up the lawn via spike aeration will help greatly.

This past weekend I did my final spring scalp. Laid down the Humichar, PGF complete, Diocide, and sprayed it all down with Super Juice. I did not scalp the sod I just laid, but did put all the treatments on the sod. It was too windy to do my last PE on the established lawn. It did rain a little yesterday as… Read more »

I had grubs when I first bought this house in 1996. Moles were everywhere. I used Milky Spore the next year (2 applications) and I haven’t seen a mole track since. Haven’t seen grubs either except in my garden where I didn’t use Milky Spore.
Wondering why you don’t recommend it for use in grub treatment since it’s virtually permanent once established.

Thanks for the vids.

Hey Doc!

I noticed that my yard was covered with ground bees and their mounds after I scalped last week. Do you have a reco for getting rid of them besides vinegar and water mix?
