Wood and Wire Dog Fence

Doc shows the construction of the wood and wire dog fence on the new farm property. A fence to keep dogs in, animals out but at the same time prevent the loss of the nice view. This is a project that can be done DIY if desired and the cost is not that great.

Wood and Wire Fence Tips

Use pressure treated wood only.

Fence posts for the fence should be 6×6 and other posts will be 4×4.

Posts only need to the sunk 24″ using a fast setting concrete.

Use a coated or painted wire which is 2×4 inch spacing.

Set fence posts just under 8 feet apart and trim boards to butt up to each other.

Cover butt area with a 1×3 or 1×4
