During peak growing seasons it’s a good idea to start bagging clippings. Too much thatch can cause issues. If you have bare areas in your lawn that lack a good thatch, organic layer, you can always spread your clippings to those areas.
There comes a point during the growing season that you have to start picking up lawn clippings.
