March Lawn Care – Must Do Steps
March is a critical month for lawn and garden care and with temps spiking into the 80s it’s critical to take some of these steps now. Doc explains that pre-emergent needs to go on the lawn NOW for most. Also killing off some winter weeds is a great option since lawn weed killers work well with the rising temps. Then Doc starts working on the vegetable garden compost piles.

Question – If i use the Blue bottle this weekend (Central Alabama), will I use it again after scalping or with this be the split portion? Granular was down 2 weeks ago. Should I scalp before using the broad leaf weed killer “Seasons long weed control”?
I have an issue with a few areas in my yard where the bermuda doesn’t grow very well. The dirt in those areas is red which I believe that it means that its red clay. What do I do to get the grass to grow?
