Over seeding a Bermuda lawn? Here are a few tips.

- Make sure the soil temp is over 65 degrees when seeding Bermuda lawns.
- If overseeding Bermuda sod, make sure you buy a quality Bermuda seed that comes close to matching the current Bermuda sod.
- Use a bladed de-thatcher or similar machine to open up / till the top 1/2 of the soil.
- Put out a light coat of 10-10-10
- Apply Bermuda seed at a rate of one pound per 1000 sq ft. (Read the seed label to confirm)
- Keep soil moist at all times for the first 2 weeks. No need to DRENCH, just keep it moist.
- Do not apply any strong fertilizers to sprouting seeds and young Bermuda grass, let nature take its course and be gentle.
